Today some of our staff and volunteers attended the Criminal Justice Fair at Leeds University. It was so good to be able to share about the great work of WYCCP. It was also a privilege to share the space with some other great organisations and charities, who are working hard to make a difference.
Baby Loss Awareness Week
Some of our staff have been supporting Baby Loss Awareness week through Abigail’s Footsteps. What an incredible charity which raises awareness around baby loss but also supports parents and health professionals.
Feel free to donate to this amazing charity via www.justgiving.com/abigails-footsteps or www.abigailsfootsteps.co.uk
Volunteer Training
Volunteer training has been great this week! What a brilliant group of new volunteers we have with us.
It is so encouraging to have people willing to give up their time, to come alongside those in need of support.
A Token of Appreciation
A very thoughtful gesture from one of our service users to Cat and the WYCCP team. The chocs are very much appreciated but the heartfelt words are worth so much more.
Service User Questionaire
Here is some great feedback from one of our service users. It’s so encouraging to see and hear of the impact of our work. We are making a difference one life at a time.

New Team Member!
A big WELCOME to our newest Team Member Wendy.
Wendy has been volunteering with us for some time now and has been such a great asset to our team in a volunteer capacity. We are so pleased we have been able to bring her on board in a temporary position as an Assistant Resettlement Worker.
New Group Launch!

Really looking forward to what we can achieve with this group. The men are passionate about making a difference and steering their lives in a positive way.
Excited for this Fresh Start…..
Fantastic Feedback!!
We don’t do what we do for the plaudits but it’s so nice to hear feedback like this, from our service users.
A Massive THANK YOU!!
We are so grateful to Lloyds Bank Foundation for their continued support. Because of their generosity, we can continue to make a difference!

Volunteers Needed!
WYCCP are recruiting now for new volunteers! The primary role of volunteer link workers is to work alongside the resettlement and family teams to provide support to men before and after release from prison and to provide support to the families of prisoners in the community.
We recruit volunteers from all walks of life; what they have in common is the desire to help people, a non- judgemental approach, reliability, a willingness to be trained and with some time to give each week.
Welcome to our new Trainee Volunteers! May 2023

Supporting WYCCP will help men to stay out of prison. We know that at least 70% of the men we work with will be out of prison a year from release and longer – compared to the HMP Leeds average of just 36% of releases. We have a proven track record in making our communities safer and stronger.

Craig's story: WYCCP's support changed my future
One man’s story of how through the gate support and partnership working can make a profound difference, providing hope, opportunity and the chance to build a brighter future.
The WYCCP Way Works!
Volunteering in the sunshine
In the words of our service users...
Feedback from the men who we support is essential and helps us adapt and improve our exceptional service. We met this gentleman while he was still in prison, he has significant health concerns and was facing homelessness on release. Ron and Cat worked closely to provide through the gate support, helping to secure accommodation, assistance with health care and offering ongoing support to access benefits.
As ever at WYCCP our work doesn’t end with one positive outcome, we are here for men for as long as they need our help.
