Yesterday, one of our team supported their service user as they said goodbye to their mum. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Service User Feedback
More great feedback from one of our service users. Our team not only do an incredible job in supporting the men with their practical needs but the standout is how they go about it. Walking alongside them in a sensitive, caring manner makes such a big difference to our service users.
We are Celebrating!
Celebrating one of our amazing Volunteers who was nominated for outstanding contribution of going above and beyond for one of our service users, who she supports. We so value her and all our Volunteers who give up their own time to help make a difference. Thank you to Voluntary Action Leeds and Volunteer Centre Leeds for the opportunity to recognise and celebrate our Volunteers.
Fresh-Start Friday
The Fresh-Start group were out doing their bit for the community last week. You can’t beat a bit of litter picking in the sun!
We are Recruiting!
We are recruiting! We couldn’t do what we do without the help of our amazing volunteers. Just by giving a small amount of time per week to help support our service users, can make a massive difference in their lives. If you have a passion to help people then this is a role for you. Please get in touch for more info.
FRESH-START Formula 1
Our Fresh-start group had a great time karting this week. Highly recommend GT Karting, we’ll definitely be back!
Fantastic Feedback!
Our support is not limited to just the men leaving prison but we also support the families of those with loved ones inside. Our family work is such an important part of what we do and so needed, as highlighted in this feedback we received.
A lovely Surprise!
Our team were so grateful to receive these flowers and chocolates, from one of our service users we are supporting.
Service User Feedback
We love receiving messages like this from our service users.
Who made all the Pies!
Our Fresh-Start group really enjoyed our first time at a local pie making club last week. This is a great initiative which is facilitated by the incredible charity Zest.
Neurodiversity Celebration Week
We’re proud to be supporting Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2025!
This week is all about challenging misconceptions, breaking down barriers, and celebrating the incredible strengths and talents of neurodivergent individuals.
Together, let’s create a more inclusive world that understands and champions neurodiversity in all its forms.
A Big THANK YOU!
We want to say a Massive THANK YOU to John & Suzanne who generously donated two sofas for one of our service users who has just moved into his property. We are so grateful for people like this who enable us to support others.
Fresh-Start Green fingers
Last week our Fresh-Start group were back helping out with a local gardening project. This is one of the group planting some bulbs.

We are Celebrating!
A moment to celebrate yesterday, as another of our service users finally moved in to his new personal accommodation. A big thanks to Axis Supported Housing for making this happen.
In Loving Memory
“To know her was to love her” That statement has never rang so true than with Sheila. Sheila was a valued member of the WYCCP team from 2013 - 2018 and she was very loved and she will be greatly missed.. “Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed, and held so dear”.
Change starts at Home!
On a recent visit to one of our service users, we noticed this hanging up in his house. We are so proud of how he is navigating change and how determined he is, to keep moving forward.
Family Support Group
Yesterday we had the privilege of Alison Lowe (Deputy Major for Policing & Crime) come to speak with some of our family service users. It was an opportunity to share stories and experiences and show support to one another.
Service User Feedback
The WYCCP team go the extra mile for our service users, not because we have to but because we want to. Our team genuinely care and this is summed up in the words of this service user. “They actually care and want to help people and do what they say. They treat you like a person, show love and support, that is still ongoing”.
Fresh-Start Friday's
The weather may not have been the best but our Fresh-Start group still braced the cold, to clean up the local area. They filled a total of 9 bags …..What a team!
